With respect for our generous homeowners and sponsors, and gratitude to our community of tour-goers, we are sad to announce that the sixth Darien House Tour: Homes with Heart will not take place on June 5, 2020. This is an event that brings our community together, raises the profile of the many talented architects, builders, and interior designers, landscapers and more in our community, and most importantly raises needed funds for our beneficiaries.
Our beneficiaries need our help more than ever given the increased needs they are facing during these unprecedented times. The Darien House Tour: Homes with Heart has raised over $300,000 over the past five years for our beneficiaries and our contributions will be greatly missed. PLEASE CONSIDER A DONATION. 100% of your donation will be distributed to our beneficiaries.
The Darien House Tour: Homes with Heart is presented by The First Congregational Church of Darien Board of Christian Outreach which selects organizations to support through a thorough vetting process. The church distributes over $100,000 each year to nonprofit organizations. Funds include 10% of church pledge dollars and the proceeds from the house tour.
Mission statement: The board puts faith into action by addressing the needs of others. Our first priority is helping those who lack the most immediate, basic necessities, whether locally, nationally or internationally. We promote permanent and systemic improvements in people’s lives by contributing both financially and physically to hands-up programs.
