Classic Reimagined
This outside of this 2015 home is fairly predictable -- a transitional colonial that fits perfectly in its well established Northern Darien neighborhood. But it is full of surprises inside thanks to the creative genius of designer Lynne Scalo of Greenwich and Palm Beach. Lynne's design is sophisticated, glamorous and modern, while also classic, functional and family friendly. The result is a timeless house that is striking to the viewer, but comfortable for its occupants.

A (Huge!) Room with a View
This 2017 modern farmhouse bears almost no resemblance to its original 50s ranch roots. The home boasts a huge single space for living and entertaining. Designed by Lynn Morgan, the space is simple, clean, airy, spacious, calm, full of light and has gorgeous views of the water.

Parlez-vous français?
This 1930s home is a French Normandy "castle" -- a style which was popular in the early 20th century. The home has retained beautiful original details through an expansion and renovation while adding gorgeous design by Lynn Morgan (yes we have TWO Lynn Morgan Design homes!) which is typical of her style -- clean, crisp and fresh, with an infusion of color.

Not Your Mother's Traditional
This new Greek Revival home takes tradition to a bold new level. Missing are the grays and neutrals of the day and in their place are colors and patterns that create a fresh, youthful and lively twist on tradition. Contemporary artwork and lacquered paints are combined with historical light fixtures and antique furniture. And the outside is just as beautiful!

The Mather Homestead
The Darien House Tour: Homes with Heart is
excited to feature the Mather Homestead, built in 1778 by Deacon Joseph Mather of The First Congregational Church of Darien and owned by the Mather family through seven generations. The home was generously donated by the family to the Mather Homestead Foundation in May, 2017. The Foundation will preserve the historic home as a museum for community education and enjoyment. Did you know that Stephen Mather was the founder of our modern day National Parks System? He and the Mather generations that followed were dedicated to environmental preservation and the public enjoyment of our nation's treasures. Now the Mather Homestead joins the list as a place to be treasured and enjoyed by the community. More information at matherhomestead.org.
